MarineTrac endorsed by Suzuki GB PLC Marine Division
MarineTrac, a dedicated security tracking provider for owners of outboard engines, personal watercraft, rigid inflatables and more, has been recognised by leading outboard engine manufacturer Suzuki, gaining endorsement for fitment on their range of engines in the UK.
Developed by the hugely experienced team behind some of the most effective automotive security tracking products on the market, MarineTrac takes the group’s tried and tested technology, that’s seen more than £17m worth of machinery recovered over the last 15 years, further developing it for marine applications, where security options would otherwise be limited.
Available for fitment on a vast range of marine applications, MarineTrac features GPS, GPRS and RF (Radio Frequency) technology, offering a rich feature-set that is designed to combat virtually any theft scenario. For high-value outboard engines, such as Suzuki’s flagship DF350, the technology is especially important, but equally effective for smaller applications too, where engines can be more easily targeted.
The firm’s Rupert Archer-Smith, commented, “We are thrilled to gain endorsement from a brand as significant in the marine market as Suzuki. With a vast range of products, it’s great to show that MarineTrac is effective at all levels within the outboard market.
“MarineTrac has been developed specifically for such applications, taking our long term experience in automotive and making a system that fits the needs and wants of the marine customer, with unique functions already implemented and more features to come too.”
MarineTrac’s unique feature-set means owners can keep track of their boat or outboard simply by accessing the dedicated app or via desktop, using the simple login area to control their alerts, check battery status and even log hours of usage. Should a boat or engine be moved unlawfully, MarineTrac’s own Secure Operating Centre will be in touch via text message, email and phone call in real time to alert the user of movement. And in the event of an actual theft, MarineTrac’s unique Radio Frequency technology can be remotely deployed to track to within one-metre radius.
Suzuki GB’s Head of ATV and Marine, Mark Beeley, added, “We are pleased to recognise the MarineTrac system for application on our outboard engines. The team behind MarineTrac have exceptional experience in security, with a system that we believe offers customers an extra line of defense again crime, especially where boats and engines are moored in remote locations. We look forward to working more with team and our network of dealers.”
MarineTrac can be installed to any type of on-water marine application that has a power feed.
MarineTrac via its finance offering can be purchased with installation for as little as £5.99 per month with one year’s subscription, or from £259 for a MarineTrac Lite unit, plus subscription. To see the options please visit – https://marinetrac.co.uk/#pricing
