MarineTrac – a dedicated tracking system now available for the marine leisure market

Leading automotive security tracking experts, AllTrac, have announced the launch of a dedicated tracking system for the marine leisure market, MarineTrac, aimed at protecting owners of outboard engines, personal watercraft, rigid inflatables and more.

Developed by the hugely experienced team behind some of the most effective automotive security tracking products on the market, MarineTrac takes the group’s tried and tested technology, that’s seen more than £17m worth of machinery recovered over the last 15 years, further developing it for marine applications, where security options would otherwise be limited.

Available for fitment on a vast range of marine applications, MarineTrac features GPS, GPRS and RF (Radio Frequency) technology, offering a rich feature-set that is designed to combat virtually any theft scenario.

The firm’s Rupert Archer-Smith, commented, “First and foremost, MarineTrac is 100% developed to be installed on marine equipment, where the environment can be extremely harsh. Thanks to our experience in the motorcycle and ATV market, where of course the elements play a big part, we’ve been able to take things a step further, using that knowhow to produce a tracking system that is not only truly effective, but can be installed covertly on everything from yachts to personal watercraft to outboard engines.”

MarineTrac’s unique feature-set means owners can keep track of their boat or engine simply by accessing the dedicated app or via desktop, using the simple login area to control their alerts, check battery status and even log hours of usage. Should a boat or engine be moved unlawfully, MarineTrac’s own Secure Operating Centre will be in touch via text message, email and phone call in real time to alert the user of movement. And in the event of an actual theft, MarineTrac’s unique Radio Frequency technology can be remotely deployed to track to within one-metre radius.

Archer-Smith continued, “As well as the great security benefits that our system brings, users can choose between the premium version that offers a Realtime map view, Geofencing, Journey Tracking and European movement cover or simply our Lite version, at a reduced cost, that provides the same level of tech protection but with reduced extra features, aimed simply at security.”

MarineTrac can be installed to any type of on-water marine application that has a power feed.

MarineTrac via its finance offering can be purchased with installation for as little as £5.99 per month with one year’s subscription, or from £259 for a MarineTrac Lite unit, plus subscription. To see the options please visit – https://marinetrac.co.uk/#pricing

About the AllTrac Group:

AllTrac Group, initially known for its lead product, BikeTrac, dates back to 2009, where the team developed and honed its automotive tracking experience within the two-wheel industry, where theft was becoming a huge issue. Working closely with the authorities, BikeTrac changed the face of two-wheel recoveries, thanks to its multi-tier technology that meant a stolen bike could be pinpointed down to less than one-metre, police forces quickly realised that if a reported stolen bike was equipped with BikeTrac, they were virtually sure of a successful recovery outcome. Thanks to this, search warrants became much easier to acquire and so BikeTrac’s recovery rate rocketed, a rate that is still more than 94% today. Thanks to this knowledge gained in the tricky world of scooters and motorcycles, AllTrac expanded into farm machinery with ATVTrac, including the arborist industry, while also offering its AutoTrac automotive product too. The group currently boasts more that £17m worth of recoveries.
