BikeTrac acquired by new management company

Renowned motorcycle tracking device, BikeTrac, has been acquired by a new management company, with ownership transferred from Road Angel Group to Bike Trac Limited; a new organisation comprising of the original founders of the system.

Headed-up by the very same team that conceived the product while working with Road Angel back in 2009, BikeTrac is now managed by Andrew Conrich and Bill Taylor, operating from new headquarters at Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire.

Initially launched to complement Road Angel’s established car product portfolio, BikeTrac became a pioneer in motorcycle tracking, quickly proving its own credentials, but also demonstrating tracking viability as a whole in the fight against bike theft.

BikeTrac Limited’s Sales & Marketing Director, Bill Taylor, commented“Despite being under new ownership, BikeTrac has truly come home now. Everyone in the new team has previous experience with the product, which has enabled us to make a seamless transition into new ownership. We want to assure our dealers and customers that the same high levels of service will continue, but with a much greater emphasis on development going forwards.”

From humble beginnings in 2009, BikeTrac has gone on to score a number of accolades, becoming the first tracker to be officially endorsed by a manufacturer (Ducati), while also becoming the first motorcycle tracking system to be awarded Thatcham Category 6 and 7 ratings too. For the next chapter, BikeTrac has already launched a fresh new corporate identity, as well as a new website and customer interface.

Taylor continued, “Andrew and I have genuinely put our hearts and souls into BikeTrac. With the support of our dealers and customers, we truly believe that we are offering the best tracking product on the market. Earlier this year we recovered our 600th stolen machine; we have been personally involved in every single one of those recoveries.. But for us and our customers, the most exciting thing is the future. We constantly look for new ways to improve motorcycle and scooter security. This really is just the beginning and we’ll be bringing new functions, ideas and products to the market in the coming months.”
